The Rotograph Prime patient positioning system was designed to be as fast and simple as possible, in order to optimize preparation times for the exam and maximize equipment productivity. As it has no floor base and its motorized telescopic columns can move in a wide range, the panoramic unit can deal with any type of patient, whether standing or sitting, and the height can quickly be adjusted using the simplified keypad on the machine. Face-to-face positioning helps ensure correct alignment of the patient using the two laser beams, and select the correct type of dentition via the unit’s control panel, thus automatically adjusting the focal layer.
The patient’s head is held in place using two lateral temple supports and a chin rest with bite stick. A complete set of different supports also helps optimize positioning, depending on the type of person or test.
In order to preserve hygiene for the patient and the dental practice, the two support handles are coated with a special antibacterial paint which releases silver ions, that prevent the development of microorganisms on their surface.

Rotograph Prime offers a wide range of panoramic projections to suit all dental panoramic X-ray requirements. In standard configuration, the Rotograph Prime already has all the classic projections needed for general dentistry: panoramic, examination of the temporomandibular joints, examination of the maxillary sinuses. Where more specific projections are required for diagnostic purposes, the Prime XP add-on package of tests includes half-panoramic, improved orthogonal projection, detailed frontal dentition, low-dose panoramic and bite-wing projections.

Villa Rotograph Evo 3D

Rotograph Evo 3D is a new dental imaging system with 3-in-1 functionality: Panoramic, Cephalometric, 3D. This new machine is based on the highly regarded mechanical platform of the Rotograph Evo, adapted mechanically and electronically to operate with the latest “Cone Beam” technology allowing 3D reconstruction of the jaws. Core of the Rotograph Evo 3D is the innovative Flat Panel Detector (FPD) using Amorphous Silicon technology associated with Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator. Thanks to its peculiarity to work in either Panoramic or 3D modality, Pan images are acquired directly and not reconstructed from a volume, while the unit’s 3D Field of View of 8,5×8,5 cm allows to obtain the entire dental status of the patient in a single exposure. The Rotograph Evo 3D can also be integrated with a digital Cephalometric arm, or upgraded at a later stage in case of need, in order to expand applications to the orthodontic field.

Customizable according to user’s needs

The Rotograph Evo 3D can be customized for professionals needing by acting on its Examination Modules. Particularly, a Cephalometric arm can be mounted to integrate the Pan and 3D views with Ceph analysis. The Evo Xp Examination Module further enlarges the traditional Panoramic views, not limiting the 2D imaging to the Standard Panoramic projection.

A complete diagnostic tool

Thanks to its Field of View (FOV) of 8,5×8,5 cm, on the Rotograph Evo 3D the entire dental status can usually be visualized with a single, fast exposure, with images ready to be archived and treated with Dental Studio Software. Alternatively, should the user prefer to export the acquired images and use a 3rd party Software, Dental Studio can easily give as output the full set of slices in DICOM format. Differently, when the system is used in Panoramic or Cephalometric mode, the images are acquired directly in bidimensional format and not reconstructed from the 3D volume; as a consequence, they are therefore displayed with the typical standard 2D layout.

Simple to operate

Despite its huge technologic content, the Rotograph Evo 3D is extremely easy to operate. All commands and functions are given through its main keyboard mounted directly on board, in order to be able to set the machine right during the patient positioning phase. Alternatively, all commands are replicated on the virtual keyboard available on the workstation, where a specific guided procedure will drive the user for an appropriate system setting, starting from exam selection till setting of exposure parameters.

Fast and accurate

The fully-integrated Pan-3D detector is always ready to use, without need to operate on it to switch from Pan to 3D acquisition modality: the machine commutes automatically from 2D to 3D simply by acting on the user interface. Additionally, as long as the Field of View allows to commonly see the entire dentition, the user can save the time needed to position the patient on a specific tooth. Finally, the limited X-ray time makes the entire procedure faster, while reducing the radiation dose.

Accessible to any patient

Rotograph Evo 3D allows an easy access to any kind of patient, including also wheelchairs bound patients, surpassing the accessibility limits and restrictions given by systems requiring the patient to seat on an integrated chair or laying on an integrated bed.

Dental Studio Software 3D capabilities

The advanced technology of the Rotograph Evo 3D allows to see the images on the workstation in real time, while the machine is rotating. Simultaneously, the 3D reconstruction module creates the volume using a specific algorithm for artefact reduction. Once the volume reconstruction is completed, the 3D visualization module shows the entire dental status on a single view, thus giving a great support on the study of the single specific case. The representation of the windows is loaded automatically during the first acquisition and it’s then fully customizable by the user. Once the image is obtained, the Dental Studio imaging Software makes then available to the user all our expertise in terms of image treatment and specific 3D planning.

Endograph DC is a new, hi-frequency intraoral unit, entirely engineered and manufactured by Villa Sistemi Medicali. The innovation of a breakthrough user interface

Villa Endos AC/ACP

In the new range of intra-oral X-ray units Endos, everything has been designed to maximize the operating efficiency and allow you to concentrate on diagnosis and treatment, rather than on the procedure to get the radiographic image. Endos AC and ACP incorporate advanced self-diagnostics that prevent and signal every operation anomaly. A special safety device eliminates the risk of unwanted exposures, inhibiting the X-ray push button when the unit is not in use.

Grid tube technology

The new grid tube improves the quality of the emitted radiation increasing the accuracy of exposure parameters and reducing the so-called “soft radiation” which doesn’t contribute to image production, yet it’s harmful for the patient. Thanks to a smart software algorithm, the system automatically compensates the mains voltage fluctuations guaranteeing the best stability in film darkening.

Endos ACP: optimized parameters

The sophisticated timer of Endos ACP allows to select the best exposure parameters using pre-programmed anatomic techniques. The choice of the diagnostic target is easily achieved in two quick steps: selection of the patient’s size among the three available and selection of the dentition area to be examined. At the touch of a key you can also switch to a specific modality which optimizes the exposure times for use with any digital acquisition system.

Endos AC: the essential unit

While employing the same advanced technology of Endos ACP, Endos AC is based on the classic manual selection of exposure times. Endos AC is compatible with all the digital sensors currently on the market. For those that prefer a no-frills unit, Endos AC is the best tradeoff between performance and budget.

Fully automated scan process

One of the lightest and most compact PSP Scanners on the market, Scanograph can be easily placed in tight spaces for chair-side operation, effectively maximizing portability within the dental office. Superior ease of use is granted by the fully automatic process: from plate insertion to diagnostic image visualization. When the plate is inserted, the scanner automatically recognizes size number, scans and erases it for new usage, immediately displaying the image on the workstation. The operator is guided first by a multi-color LED indicator showing the status of the system and then by the well-known Villa imaging software.
